We would like to congratulate RCCL and Celebrity Cruises for being the first cruise line to be approved to sail by the CDC.

Since the beginning of 2020, ICF Group have been working with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (RCCL) and its subsidiaries to enhance their medical facilities for fleets around the world.

This meant coordination on a substantial scale for the fleets in USA (Texas, Florida, Seattle and Miami), Asia and the Caribbean. On top of that, there were strict technical requirements set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), during a global pandemic that experienced lockdowns in many places along the supply chain.

There were many challenges faced, including an uncertain global environment; but thanks to the support from RCCL and its subsidiaries, together, we were able to overcome many of these challenges and provide answers to many questions, completing more than 20 ships in the process.

With all that we have achieved to date, we are happy to learn that Celebrity Cruises is the first cruise line to be approved for sail by the CDC! Celebrity Edge was one of the ships we worked on, and its doors will be open by the end of June 2021.

Well done! RCCL and Celebrity Cruises!

We would like to thank RCCL for their trust in our capabilities and the opportunity to work on the medical enhancement project for its fleets; we will continue to work with excellence and innovation, so that we can deliver high quality and true value.
